Bible Bowl – The day is almost here – Bible Bowl 2010!!This Saturday, Sept. 11, the Bible Bowl will take place at the Hooper-EblenCenter on the campus of TennesseeTechUniversity in Cookeville.Be sure to inform the Bible Bowl coordinatorson how many to expect from your family for lunch on Saturday.Also, if you plan to ride the bus to Cookeville on Saturday, please sign up with the coordinators and be at the church parking lot Saturday morning at 5:45.
The Bible Bowl Recognition Night will be Sunday, Sept. 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the ActivityCenter. Please wear your Bible Bowl t-shirt!Families are asked to bring kid friendly sandwiches, a drink and chips or ready to eat veggies or ready to eat fruit.Please inform the Bible Bowl coordinators how many are coming from your family.
September 12 – 6-8 Devotional – All the 6th-8th graders are invited to the devotional this Sunday night, Sept. 12.This is the same night as the Welcome Reception for Mike & Carla Baker. So, instead of going to someone’s home for the devotional, we will stay at Crieve Hall and eat with the congregation in the ActivityCenter to welcome the Bakers.We will then go upstairs to the Youth Assembly Room for the devotional.Parents, we will conclude by 9:00.Our 6th-8th graders will not need to bring any food this time.The speaker will be Ryan Painter.
September 17-19 – RUSH Weekend – The RUSH Weekend at Freed-HardemanUniversity will be September 17-19.RUSH is a youth rally weekend on the FHU campus. We will be staying in the dorm rooms of our college students from Crieve Hall. We open this trip to our 9th-12th graders.The theme this year is “Before and After.”The registration fee is $25 and you need to turn this in to Tim Frizzell by tonight, Sept. 8.Make your check payable to Crieve Hall Church of Christ.On the sign up sheet at the Youth Corner, mark if you are coming Friday night or Saturday morning.We will meet Friday, Sept. 17, at 4:00 p.m. at the church building.The Saturday group will leave at 7:30 a.m.We aim to return on Sunday afternoon about 2:00.
Youth Directory – We are in the process of revising the Youth Directory for the 2010-11 school year.Please check your information at the Youth Corner to make sure it is accurate.We need the parents of our K-6th graders to check their children’s information for accuracy.Please put a check-mark by your name after you have looked at it.If it needs changing in any way, please make all the corrections.
College Addresses – We need help getting mailing addresses for our college students. There is a list at the Youth Corner.If you have a college student who is living away from home, please give us their mailing address information.This will help us when we send the college care packages.
