Michael Bowen
Assistant Youth Minister
Hello, there! I’m Michael Bowen, the assistant youth minister at Crieve Hall. I grew up here in Tennessee and graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2006. Since then, my wife, Kris, and I have lived here in Nashville, serving this congregation.
My ministry at Crieve Hall mainly involves working with the children in 6th through 12th grade by teaching and mentoring them. I accompany them on mission trips and retreats and I work with Tim Frizzell, the youth minister, to facilitate spiritual maturity in the young people of our congregation. I love working with this age group and it is my sincere desire that they grow to be the kind of people Christ would have them be.

Andrew Leeper
Outreach & Involvement Minister
Hi! My name is Andrew Leeper. I am the Outreach & Involvement Minister here at Crieve Hall. My wife’s name is Becca, and we were married in 2006. I graduated from Harding University with a B.A. in Public Relations and a minor in Bible. I began work with the Crieve Hall Church in 2007.
Most of my efforts consists of working with a marvelous Involvement Committee that works to ensure that each member finds their place in the work here. We also get to work with our very eager new members that are looking for ways to use their talents at Crieve Hall. The other side of my position is getting to work with many aspects of public outreach into our community whether it is by video, printed, or web media.
If you are a member at Crieve Hall, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or shoot me an e-mail letting me know that you want to find a way to be more involved. If you are interested in being a part of the Crieve Hall family, feel free to let me know so that I can share with you some of the ways we can use your talents at this church. I look forward to getting to know you.

Albert Thweatt
Assistant Youth Minister
Hello. My name is Albert Thweatt and I have been a member at Crieve Hall for 32 years (all my life!). I am an assistant to Tim Frizzell, helping with youth activities and also serve as the director of the HiSTEP program, which trains teenagers to be Bible class teachers. I received both my bachelors and masters degrees from Lipscomb University, and I teach 6th grade at David Lipscomb Campus School. I have been married to my wife, Susan since 2000 and we have two sons - Carter who was born in 2001, and Max who was born in 2004.
Crieve Hall has meant the world to me and I feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful church family. I have a huge admiration for Tim and Michael and the great work they do. I feel that our youth are definitely being led in the right direction as they grow up here at Crieve Hall. I am especially proud of the HiSTEP program and the experience and training it offers our youth. Through this program they become better teachers, role models, and servants for Christ.

Bill Watkins
Pulpit Minister
I was born in Georgia and raised in Tennessee. I am the son of a gospel preacher (James Watkins) and my brother (Alan) and I are both preachers. I married Beverly, the daughter of a preacher (Lynn Cook), and have been married 35 years. We have 5 children, 2 boys (Jim and Michael) and 3 girls (Tiffany, Angela, and Rachel), and fifteen grandchildren.
I was formally educated at Freed-Hardeman University, David Lipscomb University, Southern Christian University, and Florida International University. I was really educated through growing up with 3 siblings; preaching at churches in Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas; learning from my parents and parents-in-law; observing my wife's willingness and wisdom; and attempting to raise five remarkable and remarkably different children.
I have been one of the ministers of the Crieve Hall Church of Christ since March 6, 2005. I love being with my family and working with the church. Preaching is not my career. Like being a husband and a father, it is my life-choice and my joy.
