Reopening Information

Greetings to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Since our in person services were successful last week, we would like to remind you of the changes in our “normal” format to continue to worship together. Please note the differences from last week that are in bold. The following is a summary of how services will be conducted:

  • 1) There will be only a worship service (no classes) at 8:15 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium. These services will be live streamed online.

  • 2) After Sunday July 5, 2020, we will not divide the congregation by alphabet to attend a specific worship service. The 8:15 AM service will be mandatory mask wear while you are in the building, including while in the auditorium with the exception of taking communion. Visitors at the 8:15 AM service will be provided a mask if they do not have one. If they cannot wear a mask, they may stay in the children’s training room during the service. The 10:00 AM service, masks are recommended but are NOT required. The online livestreams will continue to be at 8:15 AM and 10:00 AM, with the same lesson given at both services.

  • 3) Regular morning Bible classes will be broadcast at 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening instead of a worship service.

  • 4) The only entrances to the building that will be open are – doors on the Trousdale side (green doors 4), doors on the north side by the elders’ room, (green doors 3) doors in the front of the office under the canopy, (green doors 2) and the doors on the south side of the main lobby,(green door 1).

  • 5) Once inside the building there will be limited access to anything but the auditorium and the surrounding foyer including the adjoining restrooms.

  • 6) Communion will be handed out at the auditorium doors, and collection boxes for contributions will be around the information desk.

  • 7) Water fountains will not be in service. Therefore, if you need, feel free to bring your own water.

  • 8) Pews will be blocked off to establish social distancing.

  • 9) Please exit the building quickly after the services are over – particularly the first service to allow for cleaning.

  • 10) For us to try to stay healthy, for our assembly to be successful, and for consideration of getting together in the future, it is imperative that we abide by the guidelines set forth by healthcare and government officials:

    • – Safe distancing

    • – Wearing a face mask

    • – If you have been sick – do not attend

    • – If you are over 65 years old please strongly evaluate your risk of attending

  • 11) For a summary of religious gathering guidelines, please click here. Again, we want to see everyone, but we also want everyone to continue to be healthy. Please reserve judgement only on whether you and your family attend, not on others and their decision. We love you all and will continue to try to lead the Lord’s church to the best of our ability according to His will.
